Which invoice format prints
The six formats based on BIR samples B1 to B6, who uses each one, and how GodoERP chooses.
GodoERP has six formats, each based on one BIR sample in RMC 77-2024. Your tax type decides which ones you can use. Each invoice then uses the one that fits its lines.
| Format | BIR sample | Used by | What it shows |
|---|---|---|---|
| VAT Invoice | B1 | VAT-registered | VATable sales, VAT, zero-rated and VAT-exempt sales, Total Sales (VAT Inclusive), Less: VAT, Net of VAT, Add: VAT |
| VAT Invoice – VAT-Exempt Sale | B3 | VAT-registered, when every line is exempt | "VAT-EXEMPT SALE", Total VAT-Exempt Sales, the input tax notice |
| VAT Invoice – Zero-Rated Sale | B4 | VAT-registered, when every line is zero-rated | "ZERO-RATED SALE", Total Zero-Rated Sales |
| Non-VAT Invoice | B2 | Non-VAT, including the 8% option | Total Sales, "THIS DOCUMENT IS NOT VALID FOR CLAIM OF INPUT TAX" |
| Non-VAT Invoice – Mixed Sales | B5 | Non-VAT that pays percentage tax and has Sec. 109 exempt sales | Exempt Sales and Sales Subject to Percentage Tax |
| Payment Receipt | B6 | Everyone, when turned on | The payment, the invoice it pays, the input tax notice |
How a VAT invoice chooses
- All lines Exempt → VAT-Exempt Sale.
- All lines Zero-Rated → Zero-Rated Sale.
- Anything else, including a mix → VAT Invoice with the full breakdown. RMC 77-2024 allows one invoice with the breakdown, or separate invoices.
Mixed sales for non-VAT businesses
Turn on I also sell goods or services that are exempt under Tax Code Sec. 109 in Invoice Format. On each invoice line choose Subject to percentage tax or Exempt (Sec. 109). Exempt sales are left out of your percentage tax worksheet. The 8% option pays no percentage tax, so this doesn't apply to it.
What every format has
The word INVOICE, your registered name (and trade name), VAT REG TIN or NON-VAT REG TIN with branch code, address, invoice number and date, cash or charge sale, the Sold to box, quantity, unit cost and description, discounts for SC, PWD, NAAC, MOV and Solo Parent (with ID number and signature when given), withholding tax, total amount due and your Acknowledgement Certificate details at the bottom.
Note: A foreign client doesn't make a sale zero-rated for a non-VAT business. Zero-rating only exists for VAT-registered sellers.
