Send a proposal (quotation) and turn it into an invoice
Quote a customer, track whether they accept, and convert it to a service invoice in one click.
Where: Sales › Proposals.
Create a proposal
- Click New and choose the Customer.
- Set Valid Until, the date the quotation expires.
- Add lines: choose an Item or type a description, then Qty, Unit Price and VAT. Use + Add Line for more.
- Add Notes, such as terms or inclusions.
- Save Draft. Proposals are saved as drafts first.
Send and track it
On the proposal page:
- Print it or download it, and send it to the customer.
- Mark as Sent, then Mark Accepted or Mark Declined when they answer.
Convert to an invoice
When the customer accepts, click Convert to Service Invoice. GodoERP creates a draft service invoice with the same customer and lines. Check it, then issue it. See Create and issue a service invoice.
Tip: A proposal is not a BIR document and doesn't affect your books. Only the issued invoice does.
