Create and issue a service invoice

Draft an invoice, check the VAT breakdown, then issue it to lock in the BIR invoice number.

Updated Oct 26, 2026

GodoERP creates invoices in two steps:

  1. Draft: you can still edit or delete it.
  2. Issue: GodoERP assigns the next number from your BIR-approved series and locks the invoice. From then on it can only be voided (never deleted), and the number is never reused.

Where: Sales › Service Invoices › New Service Invoice.

1. Fill in the draft

  • Customer. No customers yet? Use add one first.
  • Document Type: Service Invoice or Sales Invoice, which sets the title printed on the document.
  • Sale Type: Cash Sales or Charge Sales (on credit).
  • Due Date: for charge sales.
  • Lines: choose an Item or a custom line, then Qty, Unit Price and Tax Type. Use + Add Line for more.
  • GodoERP totals VATable Sales, Zero-Rated Sales, VAT-Exempt Sales, VAT (12%) and Total for you.

Senior citizen, PWD and similar discounts

Enter the Discount (₱) and choose the Discount Type, then fill in the Beneficiary Name, TIN (if any) and OSCA/PWD ID No. These are required for the discount details to print on the invoice.

Customer withholds tax?

If a corporate customer will withhold tax and give you a BIR Form 2307, enter the amount in Withholding Tax (₱). It's tracked as creditable withholding tax you can claim on your income tax return.

Click Save Draft.

2. Check and issue

On the next screen, check everything carefully. Then click Issue Service Invoice. The invoice gets its number and is marked Issued.

3. Send it

Use Print Service Invoice, Download PDF, or send it by email from the invoice page.

Important: Issue invoices in the order you actually give them to customers, and only after checking them. A mistake on an issued invoice is corrected with a credit note or by voiding it, never by editing.
