Connect Xendit step by step (API key and webhook)
Create a Xendit API key with the right permissions, connect it in GodoERP, add the invoice webhook, and test before going live.
Xendit lets your clients pay invoices with GCash, Maya, cards, online banking, QR Ph and more. The money goes to your own Xendit account. GodoERP only records it. Connecting Xendit needs the Business plan.
Before you start: sign up at xendit.co. You can test right away in Test mode. To receive real payments, finish Xendit's account activation.
Use the switch at the top left of the Xendit dashboard to move between Test and Live mode. Keys and webhooks are separate for each mode.
1. Create a secret API key
- In the Xendit dashboard (in Test mode), go to Settings › Developers › API Keys.
- Generate a new secret key and give it a name such as GodoERP.
- Set the permissions:
- Write for money-in (invoices), so GodoERP can create the payment page.
- Read for Balance, so GodoERP can test the connection. Leave everything else off.
- Copy the key. Test keys start with
xnd_development_. Xendit shows it only once.
2. Connect it in GodoERP
- Go to Settings › Online payments and tick Turn on online payments.
- Under GCash, Maya and cards, choose Xendit.
- Paste the key in Secret key.
- Tick what clients can use. Only tick methods that are active in your Xendit account.
- Enter your authenticator code (or password) and click Save settings.
You should see Connected to Xendit · Test mode. If GodoERP says the key is missing a permission, edit the key in Xendit and add Read for Balance.
3. Add the webhook
- In GodoERP, copy the Webhook address shown on Settings › Online payments. It ends in
/api/pay/webhook/xendit. - In Xendit, go to Settings › Webhooks.
- Click View Webhook Verification Token (Xendit asks for your password) and copy the token.
- In the webhook URL list, choose Invoice, paste the GodoERP address, and save. You can click Test to send a test message.
- Back in GodoERP, paste the token in Webhook verification token and save with your authenticator code.
4. Test a payment
Issue a small invoice to yourself, open the pay link, choose a method and pay on Xendit's test page. Back in GodoERP the invoice is Paid and a Xendit clearing account appears under Banking.
5. Go live
Switch Xendit to Live mode, create a live secret key (xnd_production_…) with the same permissions, paste it in GodoERP, and set the live Invoice webhook and its verification token. Pay a small real invoice yourself before telling clients.
