Tasks, subtasks and the task board
Break a project into tasks, assign people, set due dates, add checklists and reminders.
Every project has a Tasks board. Move work across three statuses: To do, In progress and Done.
Add a task
Open the project › Tasks › New Task:
- Title (required) and Description.
- Assigned to, Priority (Low, Normal, High, Urgent) and Status.
- Start date and Due date.
- Estimated hours, Points and Labels.
- Milestone: link the task to a milestone of the same project.
- Parent task: make it a subtask.
- Depends on: pick tasks that must finish first.
- Collaborators and Reminder date.
- Support ticket: link a ticket from the project's client, when one applies.
Work the board
Change the status from the task page or the board. My tasks across all projects are listed at Projects › Tasks.
Checklists and reminders
Inside a task, add checklist items and tick them off as you go. Set a reminder date so the task shows up when it matters.
Note: Creating tasks needs the create tasks permission. Editing, status changes, checklists and reminders need edit tasks, and deleting needs delete tasks.
