Review accounts receivable and accounts payable
Use reports to review customer balances and supplier obligations.
Accounts Receivable (AR) helps you review amounts customers owe. Accounts Payable (AP) helps you review amounts your company owes suppliers.
Review receivables
- Open Reports and select Accounts Receivable.
- Choose the available date or filter options.
- Review customer balances and compare them with invoices and recorded customer payments.
- Investigate overdue or unexpected balances against the original invoices and payment references.
Review payables
- Open Reports and select Accounts Payable.
- Review vendor balances against bills and bill payments.
- Investigate bills that appear unpaid after payment, or payments that appear against the wrong bill.
Important checks
- Confirm that payments were recorded against the correct invoice or bill.
- Consider partial payments and credit notes when reviewing balances.
- Use the transaction detail and source documents to investigate differences.
- Exported reports contain confidential customer and supplier information; share them only with authorized people.
These reports help you review balances. They do not replace reviewing source documents or confirming a disputed balance with the customer or supplier.
