VAT, non-VAT and the 8% option: which taxes GodoERP computes
How your registration in Settings decides your invoices, returns and filing calendar.
GodoERP follows your registration in Administration › Settings › Company Settings. Set it once, based on your Certificate of Registration (BIR Form 2303).
| Your registration | Invoices | Business tax return | Where in GodoERP |
|---|---|---|---|
| VAT-registered | Show VATable, zero-rated and exempt sales, plus 12% VAT | 2550Q, quarterly VAT | Reports › VAT Returns (2550Q) |
| Non-VAT, regular income tax | Non-VAT format | 2551Q, 3% percentage tax | Reports › Percentage Tax (2551Q) |
| Non-VAT, 8% income tax option | Non-VAT format | None (no percentage tax) | Income tax amounts appear in the BIR Filing Calendar |
| Exempt from both VAT and percentage tax | Shows "EXEMPT" | None | Only if a tax professional confirmed it |
What happens automatically
- Output VAT from invoices and input VAT from bills and expenses are posted to their own accounts.
- Credit notes reduce your VATable sales.
- Unused input VAT is carried over to the next quarter on the 2550Q worksheet.
- Under the 8% option, the calendar computes 8% of gross sales above ₱250,000 for the year, less earlier quarters.
Important: GodoERP prepares the figures. You still file the official return in eBIRForms or eFPS, and should confirm amounts and deadlines with your accountant. Tax rules change, so keep your Settings up to date.
